Tour Description

Would you like an unforgettable Expedition with an awesome small group? Join us on this full day Snæfellsnes Peninsula tour. We visit the famous Kirkjufell, Djúpalónsandur, Arnarstapi and some off the beaten path sights, finally we will throw in some local favorites as well. The job of your guide will be to inform you about the attractions and our beautiful country while keeping you entertained.

The dramatic landscapes of Lóndrangar and the majestic Snæfellsjökull are just a few of the attractions that were immortalized in the Jules Verne’s “Journey to the Centre of Earth” This tour is often described as “Best of Iceland landscapes” and we will not dispute that. We will visit the most famous sights to see the wonders of the Snæfellsnes peninsula: rock bridges, craters, and more.

The logistics of the tour allows you to have plenty of time at each location to take Instagram-worthy photos and for you just to enjoy being in the moment in this beautiful nature and our lunch stop will have Icelandic food options. We emphasize on avoiding the big-bus crowds, and please book well ahead of time as this tour is very popular.

Make sure you book ahead of time as this tour is very popular because everyone loves nature, seals and so much more. Did we mention that all our buses have Wi-Fi and Icelandic music on board? What else can you ask for? Come with us!

  1. Great Tour!

This tour was awesome! We decided to do the peninsula via tour because we had already driven for three days to other areas of the country. We discovered that some highlights were difficult to find on our own, which is why a tour is very nice. We met our guide in front of a hostel, located 2 minutes form our Airbnb. The company was very accommodating to find the closest meeting point for us. It turned out that only four people total would be on the tour that day. This made the day very personal and less “touristy” since we were in a small van and could talk with one another often. We hit all the stops listed, ate pancakes, had time for lunch, and learned quite a great deal about Icelandic culture, geography, etc. Our guide (I am ashamed to say that I have forgotten her name- our tour was Saturday, June 9th, if that helps) was awesome! She was very funny, very smart, and taught us a great deal. I would recommend to anyone to just drop the cash and do a tour. Some sights are on rough side roads (even though the main roads are paved) which caused minor but expensive damage to our rental car. Having a guide allows you to get closer to sites, learn more about the culture, and cover more space in less time.

  2. Iceland is beautiful, unusual, breath-taking… The trip to Snæfellsnes Peninsula was equally great, even despite the fact that the weather was changing literally every ten minutes, i.e. we experienced a snow blizzard, strong wind, clouds and even some sunshine. 🙂 The peninsula is really interesting and beautiful, the landscapes are dramatic and they tend to leave a strong impression. Talking about leaving an impression, it is absolutely necessary to mention our tour guide – Thorsteinn. He was really knowledgeable, entertaining and really nice. His good mood and amazing selection of music throughout the whole trip (there is another very very interesting story behind this, but will leave that as a surprise for future travellers:), plus all the amazing stops and an extra stops to pet the Icelandic horses:), really created a cosy and friendly atmosphere in the bus, and not even not-ideal weather conditions could not affect that. Torsteinn was great and it would be a real pleasure to go again with him on another tour! The whole tour is great:)
